We kept getting requests for a 'Start Minimized' feature, so we added it to the tools menu. Some bugs where fixed, thanks to everyone who pointed them out! The View Episodes window is now resizable. Download Nimiq 1.42.2.
Update : Something was wrong with the last build. Sorry. We Fixed it. Get the fixed 1.42.2 version.

We just released Nimiq 1.4.. Some stuff we added..

New episode overview through right click on subscription
Display total size of downloaded files per subscription
Opml browser double click instantly subscribes to feed
And some minor cosmetic changes..

Oh did we ever mention that Nimiq supports al sorts of enclosure types? So you can also subscribe to your favorite video podcasts or whatever they are called, using Nimiq 1.4.

Hey an other update! We fixed some bugs no one noticed and made some cool changes. We now support password protected feeds and there's a short cut to jump directly to the download directory, just right-click in the subscribtions window. Also some interface changes, see if you can find them! Go get Nimiq 1.3.3 Now [zip 556 KB].

People are still mailing us that they like Nimiq. GREAT. So we decided to do some work on Nimiq. We fixed some bugs and made some minor changes. The latest release of iTunes caused some compatibility issues. We fixed it, well chaime did. Import/Export of subscriptions in OPML format now works with all the other podCatchers. UPDATE : fixed a bug in the bittorent module SPEKTR Download 1.3.1 Now [zip 557 KB].

If a download stops for any reason, you can now easily resume it with NIMIQ 0.9.5
If the download window is still showing on your screen, just press the Start button and Nimiq will continue the download.
You closed Nimiq while it was at 86% of downloading your favorite broadcast? No fear, just start up Nimiq again and press the start button..

Transfer your subscriptions from older Nimiq releases

Ok we forgot to tell you something!
After installing NIMIQ 0.9.x it might be that your previous subscriptions are gone, and you history is reset. There is a way to fix this.

How to transfer your subscriptions from older Nimiq releases

1. Browse to

C:\Program Files\Nimiq\config\

2. copy subscriptionlist.xml and downloadhistory.xml to

C:\Documents and Settings\[your_login_name]\ApplicationData\Nimiq

This should restore your previous subscriptions..

Hey it's been a few weeks, so we thought it was time for a bit of an update. It has turned out to be a big update, we made some changes and added some exciting new features. Ok so what is new in NIMIQ 0.9.2 [zip 549 KB]

Bittorrent Support. Hey and you don't even need to install any bittorrent client to get it working. Guess what, Chaime rolled his own bittorrent module in C# named it Spektr, and stuffed it into Nimiq
You were sick and tired of watching those 0% progress bars, so introduce Multi-threaded downloads. Through the options menu you can specify how many simultaneous downloads you want.
Improved toolbar and icons
Double click or right -click on the progress bar to preview / remove a download
Drag and drop any feed from your favorite browser
View download history
Improved Opml browsing
Added some new stuff to the option menu
Moved the default directories for the podCasts and configuration files
Fixed some bugs and cleaned up the code
And more

We want NIMIQ to stay lean and mean so we only added the stuff we thought you wanted. If you think we were wrong and missed out on something feel free to drop us a line at Ed@nimiq.nl or Chaime@nimiq.nl
We are very excited about this release and are working on some new ideas for release 1.0. For now download Nimiq 0.9.2 [zip 549 KB] and let us know what you need in the next release. Nimiq 0.9.2 will install over the older version but it might be safer to first uninstall the previous version.

NIMIQ - enclosure ripper extraordinaire

Remember all the bla bla about podcasting. Well it seems podcasting is here to stay, so Chaime and I decided to build our own RSS Ripper. So here it is, the first BETA version of Nimiq [Right Click, Save Target As..]. Remember this a first version so you'll probably think it is crap. Nevertheless have a go at it and let us know what you think.
UPDATE 20-11-2004 Nimiq just got better. Check out version 0.8.5.
